Remote Invigilation – Worldwide

With over 15 years of experience administering, interlocuting and invigilating many different exam formats in the UK and Ireland, I have extensive knowledge of high stakes exams such as IELTS for UKVI, IELTS, The Occupational English Test, Cambridge English & Admissions tests amongst many others.

Whilst working as the Regional Operations Manager for the Exams Centre at International House London, I liaised and worked with the British Council Exam Board directly, running exams remotely, in person and via computer. Part of my role was to train exam staff and conduct audits across all our venues to standardise exam quality and performance.

Remote invigilation includes:

Exams delivered via MyExams. Detailed reports sent to the exam board if necessary and direct contact with awarding body including all administration work.

Audio – A combined microphone and headphone headset is used to ensure minimal noise or interference and clarity when giving instructions to candidates.

Video – A reliable wired external video webcam is used. The camera is set to eye level to ensure that the candidates have a clear view of their invigilator during the exam session.

Workplace Setting – As a remote invigilator I will always present myself in a professional manner and my workplace setting is in a quiet, well-lit location where there is no disturbance. The background is free from pictures, windows, clocks or other distractions.
